[ There are, indeed, some pink puppy ears still present, and Megumi takes a quick glance behind to spot the bump of a tail. It's so odd and cartoonish that it's all pink, but it makes sense, given the boy's natural hair colour. ]

You could definitely use your nose to track scents. But I was thinking more in terms of ... using your teeth.

[ Megumi isn't thinking too hardly when he reaches out to take the boy's chin, nudging his mouth open to see if he retained his canines. ]

[ Wait, behind... Yuji tries to twist his body so that he can look at his tail. It's still wiggling a little bit. ]

Oh, right! I'll try and work on that, then. It'll probably come in handy.

[ The words are muffled as Fushiguro starts to poke at his mouth, and all he can do is laugh. ]

Anyfing dere?

[ Yuji should really protest more when a guy tries to inspect your teeth ... Megumi continues to thumb his mouth open, glancing at the little canines he's developed. Though he doesn't let it show on his face, there's a flicker of a memory - there's someone else, after all, who has this face and those incisors. Of course, he keeps that comparison to himself. Megumi would never tell Yuji he looks anything like Sukuna. It's true but he knows how the boy would take it. ]

You've got sharp canines now. I guess you could use them if you're ever in a pinch.

[ Now he's wondering if Yuji is going to feel compelled to fetch balls but that's a furry experience for another day ...

Anyway, since he did smack Yuji before for something that was not the boy's fault, he apologies wordlessly to him by patting his ears. ]

[ Yuji stands there and lets Megumi look inside his mouth - it's not as if he can look at his own teeth right now without grabbing a mirror, so he might as well let him check. His head tilts a little and he resists the urge to reach up to touch the new little points there.

With his strength and these teeth... Maybe he'll still be useful. ]

I'll try and remember.

[ But, hey! Now there are pats to his ears, and Yuji is beaming again. ]

That feels pretty nice.

Dogs like being pet here. [ Among many other places, one of which being the belly, but that doesn't feel appropriate at this point of time. There's a part of Megumi that's enjoying himself - that's the part that has an affinity for furry things that bark and howl. He continues to give his friend scritches behind the ears, glancing briefly at that wagging tail. Yuji was easy to read before, but this just makes hiding his feelings impossible for him. ]

You're ... pretty happy, huh? [ When is he not? But that aggressively wagging tail. ]

Guess that makes sense. [ Megumi is definitely going to know more about dogs than him, given his divine dogs, and Yuji is happy to take his expertise on that. Maybe he’ll learn more about dogs from being one, though?

Something to think about.

Beaming, he nods his head. ]

I’m not stuck as a dog, so that’s good. And you’re here.

You're that happy to see me?

[ Why is this boy so pure ... he is feeling a sense of friendship. ]

[ What a dumb question. ]

I'm always happy to see you, Fushiguro.

[ Listen, his IQ drops sometimes. Particularly pertaining to his father and the bonds he's forged with others.

He meets the other boy's gaze for a second, green eyes softer than usual. It's strange that being told something so simple is enough to make his heart warm. It's nice, though? That he has someone who likes being around him, who's this happy to see him. It's difficult for Megumi to process sometimes that he's all that important to other people. Of course it goes without saying that he's happy to see Yuji as well.

After that short moment of tension, he promptly ends that little petting session with a light chop to the boy's head. ]

We know everything's fine now. Let's get on with our day.
