[ Yuji, who had frantically sprinted to try and get there before Fushiguro, skids to a halt in front of him and gives a bright grin. ]

Yo. [ Knowing Megumi uses 'Yo' enhanced my RP experience. ]

Unless you're tired after work, we can get started. [ Right to business as always. ]

I'm not tired, no.

[ Is he ever tired? Does Yuji feel exhaustion? He'd never show it. Instead, he rolls up his sleeves and swings his arms around like they do in the movies. ]

Shall I just... Punch a tree?

[mahoraga]

Punch it. We can use it for firewood later.

[ Those poor trees. Anyway Megumi will be here ordering Yuji around like he's a dog. ]

[eyescar]

Right, okay!

[ Yuji clenches his fists, the glow of cursed energy feeling so good to see again, and then he rushes forward and just... Punches a tree.

It almost explodes. ]

[mahoraga]

Your punches are as strong as ever. I could see the cursed energy, too.

[ He always has compliments for his friend. Anyway, it's relieving that Yuji's ability has returned, and promising that Megumi's able to see that glow to his fists.

That's promising, probably. He still doesn't quite understand what needs to happen for elements of their ability to be returned, and if there's a system at all or if it's all just idiosyncratic. Anyway. ]

My turn. [ My clasps his hands, making the shadow puppet of a 'dog'. For a moment, his shadow seems to extend beyond his feet, almost like he's building up the energy for the moment ...

Then a great deal of nothing happens. ]

[eyescar]

Great! Then it's working!

[ It's hard to test out a black flash without the proper leadup to it, so he doesn't bother trying that one out. Instead, he turns back to watch Megumi with a tilt of his head, curious.

... No dogs? Wait... ]

You have your cursed energy, right? Is it just the dogs, or the other ones too?

[mahoraga]

I can feel my cursed energy, and I was able to store things in my shadow, so I know it's returned. It's true that I can't feel the dog, though.

[ So what can he feel? He tries to sense the owl, the frogs, the elephant, and there doesn't seem to be a trace of them. Finally, he can see the familiar energy of one particular summon, and he clasps his fingers together again, summoning it. ]

Rabbit Escape. [ Immediately, white rabbits start rushing out of his shadow and surrounding Megumi and Yuji, hopping everywhere and in every direction. ]

[eyescar]

[ Yuji seems to brighten as soon as the rabbits come out, and he leans down to open his arms in case one of them wants to hop in for a little hug.

He doesn't play favourites! He loves all of Fushiguro's shikigami the same. ]

Woah, okay! So the rabbits are back, but not the dog? Maybe you still need to get the others back.

[mahoraga]

[ He knows his friend loves the rabbits, and this isn't some live or death situation, so he's quite fine to oblige. There's a subtle nudge at the rabbits to start hopping all over Yuji, which they do. ]

It was the Divine Dog I asked for. It's not surprising that you don't always get what you wished for.

[ Yuji may not play favourites, but Megumi ... does. It's subtle, but he does look disappointed (sorry2rabbits). The bond he has with the Divine Dogs is just incomparable to anything else. He's had them since he was a child and they protected him and supported him through all those difficult times back then. ]

What was your wish, by the way?

[eyescar]

[ Yuji perks up almost instantly, reaching to pick up one of the rabbits and pet it gently. It's so cute. ]

I got turned into a dog, remember? This place doesn't seem to really think about what we're asking for.

[ Looking over, he hesitates for a moment. He wonders, absently, if there's something he can do for Megumi - maybe he can try and get him the dogs or something? It would be a nice present. ]

What, this time? I just asked for my cursed energy back.

[mahoraga]

[ He will get his dogs back by himself, don't you worry sweetie. The rabbits haven't been given an order to stampede, so they hop about and graze, some resting by Yuji's feet. ]

No, I meant -- The wish the Overseer would have claimed you made.

[ The wish that's their apparent reward for spending time here. ]

[eyescar]

[ It's almost the best thing ever, and Yuji is beaming as he tries to pat all the rabbits at the same time.

The question, though... He sighs a little, bowing his head. ]

I wished for Sukuna to be destroyed.

[ It feels selfish, now. ]

[mahoraga]

[ Megumi doesn't find it a selfish wish. He used his wish to free their teacher, but if given the chance to make more, he would have wished for that also. ]

If there's any chance he actually grants it, you should go back to your normal life after we return home. [ He's highly skeptical because things never work out nicely for them, and the overseer would have to (1) actually hold up his promise, and (1) be stronger than Sukuna, but they are just talking about hypotheticals right now.

He really just wants his friend to be safe. ]
