[ It's not as if he's going out of his way to try and lie to Megumi, but he is trying to make sure that his partner doesn't worry about him. He gets into trouble so often, ends up doing stupid things to try and help people, and half the time it works out anyway, so...

Huffing out a breath as soon as the corset is loosened, he feels a little bit of guilt. Megumi had been pretty into this and now he's ruined it by coughing and being sick, or whatever this is. Maybe they can try again another time? That would be fair, wouldn't it...?

Lifting his head, he nods. ]

Only sometimes. I thought it was going away.

[ The expression on his face doesn't change, but in his head he's already going through what he knows to find some sort of solution or cure. It's a dire situation, and they can't afford to get Yuji stressed or he has a feeling things will become worse. ]

Come rest on the bed. [ That could have been the outcome of the night for an entirely different reason, but that sort of indulgence is the last thing on Megumi's mind given what's happening to Yuji. ]

[ Yuji hesitates for a moment - they were supposed to be doing other things, weren't they? - before he lets himself be tugged over gently. ]

Okay, just for a little bit. [ He lays himself down, stretching out with a huff of breath. ]

[ With his friend on the bed, Megumi sits on the edge, keeping himself close to Yuji with a hand smoothing over his pink hairs. ]

I've heard about this disease going around. It's triggered by an emotional imbalance. Is there something on your mind recently?

Huh? Not really... Nothing more than normal.

[ The crushing weight of guilt and existential pain that comes with being Sukuna's vessel. ]

[ The key being 'normal'. There's probably always something going on in the other boy's mind, given how much trauma and loss he's gone through. ]

Not 'recently', then. Just ... in general.

[ He never gets an honest answer when he asks, but right now there's a good reason to push it. Megumi keeps his fingers lingering by the other boy's face. ]

[ Lifting his hand, he touches his neck gently. ]
