You made the assumption he was Kenjaku. From the reports, he is using his body and technique, so they would have felt close to identical. As far as I am concerned, Kenjaku is a threat to remove on sight.

[ Yuji doesn’t quite know how to process that. It’s not as if he himself is completely innocent, with how many deaths he caused. He can’t scold someone for crimes he’s also committed… But he’d also never choose to do that either.

[ Funny that he's doing it again, encouraging - in a way - for someone he wouldn't normally save, to be saved. Geto Suguru was so many things, Megumi doesn't quite know what to make of him yet. He knows of the man's crimes, but he was kind toward him a few weeks back, and he has his doubts their teacher would have such a close relationship with someone who had no good in them.

He's accepted that his own hypocritical moral code, however. That personal feelings and relationships took priority over what was objectively right, for him. That's why it feels like the right thing to do for Yuuji to return and right things. For the sake of their teacher. ]
